Acro Among the Best and Brightest Companies to Work For in 2017

Acro Service Corporation (Acro) is proud to be named once again as one of the Best and Brightest Companies to Work For in the nation. Acro was named to Best and Brightest’s 2017 list of the top 101 companies to work for in the nation, Acro’s fourth consecutive year being named on the list.

The Best and Brightest Companies to Work For competition identifies and honors companies that deliver exceptional human resource practices and an impressive commitment to their employees. Organizations are assessed based on categories such as communication, work-life balance, employee education, diversity, recognition, retention and more. Scores are also determined by the results of employee surveys, which makes this recognition even more significant, as it represents employee satisfaction at Acro.

“I am deeply honored to be continually recognized by our employees and the Best and Brightest organization for our high quality of work life at Acro,” said Ron Shahani, President and CEO of Acro. “We strive to create a positive culture of engagement and contribution at Acro, and recognize the importance of all who are a part of our exceptional community. This award is simply a reflection of that, and I am grateful for all who contribute to our community.”

Acro has been named among the 101 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For in the Nation since 2014, and has also been named among Metro Detroit’s Best and Brightest Companies list during 2014-2017.

Ron Shahani, Acro President and CEO, Recognized as a New American Leader by Michigan Governor Rick Snyder

Michigan Governor Rick Snyder has recognized Ron Shahani, Acro President and CEO, as a New American Leader for his achievements in promoting economic development and embodying business leadership. The New Americans Leadership Awards were launched in 2017 by Governor Snyder and the Michigan Office for New Americans (MONA) to recognize outstanding immigrants to the State who represent true labor market integration.

Shahani was nominated by the Michigan Asian Pacific American Affairs Commission (MAPAAC) for his business achievements and contributions to the Asian Pacific business community. Ron has served as director and member of the Board of the Asian Pacific American Chamber of Commerce since 2002, and as its chairman for five years.

Shahani started Acro Service Corporation in 1982 as a solo businessman endeavor in the basement of a law office, and since then has grown the company into serving clients around the world, with more than 5,000 associates globally. Acro is now named among the top workforce solutions providers in the country for staffing and managed service provider services, and a Best and Brightest company to work for.

“I sincerely thank Governor Snyder for recognizing the work of new Americans and honoring us with this award,” said Shahani. “I am humbled to receive this award from amongst so many new Americans who have come to Michigan and contributed to our business and civic communities in extraordinary ways.”

“Michigan has shaped and defined Acro, as well as my life personally,” Shahani added. “As I work across the United States and around the world now, I am proud to communicate Acro’s Michigan heritage. Michigan propelled my business and provided me a remarkable place to raise a family and call home.”

Shahani was named among six immigrant business owners in Michigan for this award. For more information, contact marketing@acrocorp.com.
